Court proceedings begin this week for a juvenile officially charged with arson after a fire in Emporia over a month ago.
Lyon County Attorney Amy Aranda tells KVOE News Hayden Vasquez has been charged with one count of arson after a fire Sept. 20 in the 1100 block of Constitution Street. The fire caused significant damage to the upper floor of the two-story home.
Vasquez will have his first official appearance in Lyon County District Court at 3 pm Tuesday.
