Water service is officially back to normal in Council Grove after a boil water advisory for the town, but an alert for nearby rural water districts has not yet been lifted.
Council Grove City Administrator Nick Jones says the Kansas Department of Health and Environment cleared the city Tuesday, so residents can resume normal water use.
This is not the case for Morris County Rural Water Districts 1 and 2, which remain under boil advisories until further notice. Jones says both districts need to collect four coliform samples each and submit them to KDHE for testing and analysis.
Turbidity in the Council Grove Water Plant triggered the advisory Friday.
Separately, Madison was cleared from a boil water advisory Wednesday after a construction zone incident Oct. 21.
