The 2025 election cycle is coming to an end next week.
Tuesday is Election Day, and turnout is picking up — but it’s still slow. Lyon County Clerk and Election Officer Amie Jones says over 450 people have voted, but that’s less than 2 percent of registered voters. Regardless of the overall turnout, Jones says election staffers are always busy on Election Day.
In-office advance voting ends at noon Monday. Residents in line to vote at noon Monday will be allowed to cast ballots. Residents casting mail ballots either need to return those to their respective courthouses by Tuesday or have them postmarked by Tuesday for them to count in this year’s election. Polling places will be open from 7 am to 7 pm Tuesday.
KVOE will have complete election coverage Tuesday night, including results and candidate reactions. Get more information ahead of the general election through the KVOE.com Voter Information Guide, courtesy of Community National Bank.
