Emporia Christian School made sure the community was well-fueled for the day ahead with a delicious breakfast Saturday morning.
The school hosted its annual fundraising pancake breakfast inside the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson building, featuring a menu of freshly made pancakes, sausage and drinks. Christian School teacher and PTO Secretary Marcy Shirk says she looks forward to the event each year, saying it is a “Generational tradition” within the community.
In addition to the food, the event also featured an in-person and online silent auction with an abundance of items being donated from the local community. Shirk, as always, the community went above and beyond in supplying items for the event.
All proceeds from the breakfast will go to support technology upgrades, special events and some extracurricular programs for the Christian School, according to Shirk.
Fundraising totals are currently pending.
