The Lee Beran Recreation Center’s indoor pool closes by mid-week, and there are a lot of schedule adjustments coming as a result.
The natatorium will close Wednesday for work on the pool’s drain pipe. The project could take around a week to finish.
In the meantime, the Emporia Recreation Commission is moving a range of classes typically held at the indoor pool:
*The Arthritis Aquatic Class will meet in the Fitness Studio at 8:00 a.m. (M,W,F) with instructor Jessica George
*Aqua Fit participants are invited to attend Fit Forever at 9:00 a.m. (M,W,TH) with instructor Lauren Carlson
*Evening Aqua Fit will meet in the Fitness Studio at 5:30 p.m. (M,W, TH) with instructor Lori Davis
*Silver Dolphins will meet in the Gym at 10:00 a.m. (M-F) with instructors Tasha Cooper and Lesley Goodrich
*Aqua Zumba will meet in the Fitness Studio at 5:30 p.m. (T/F) with instructor Kim Cook
*Lap Swimmers and Independent Water Exercisers will have access to the Fitness Room during the closure
Memberships, drop-in fees and class passes will remain as normal for replacement classes.
