The #24 Emporia State volleyball team wrapped up the regular season sweeping Arkansas-Fort Smith 25-20, 25-19, 25-12 at White Auditorium on Friday night. ESU ended the first set on a 6-1 run before scoring five of the last six points in the second set. The Lady Hornets didn’t mess around in the third scoring the first seven points and eventually built a 14-4 lead and the Lady Lions never threatened. Freshman setter Delainee Dexter led the Lady Hornets with 12 kills to go along with 17 assists. ESU (21-6, 12-4 MIAA) is currently tied for fourth place in the MIAA standings with just three matches to be played Saturday to set the field for the MIAA Tournament beginning Thursday, November 20 at the St. Joseph Civic Arena.
