Continued discussions on potentially bringing a nuclear power project to the local community will continue for the Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas Board of Directors when they convene for their monthly meeting Friday.
As part of their agenda, board members will consider a request for regional collaboration on the TerraPower project set to be presented by Emporia Main Street Director Casey Woods. This comes a month after board members voted to sign a letter of support for bringing a new natrium reactor to the community with city and county leadership following suit shortly after.
Other items include one executive session, the monthly chairman’s report and comments from Board Chair Jeff Williams. The meeting will begin at 7 am inside the Trusler Business Center.
