The Emporia State disc golf teams dominated by winning all six titles up for grabs at the Mid-American Regional Disc Golf Championship presented by Dynamic Discs which wrapped up Sunday in Emporia. The #2 Hornet men’s team of Carter Ahrens, T. J. Reel, & Micah Tatro birdied 15 of 18 holes Sunday to win the men’s team title with a -29 score, taking the crown by two shots over Liberty. The Lady Hornets took the top two spots in the women’s team competition with Madeline Joiner and Isabella Parker holding off Atlanta Krueger and Maya Ringgold by two shots. ESU’s D2 men’s team finished in front in their competition by seven shots. In the singles, Tatro won the D1 men’s title while Grant Yoder claimed the D2 men’s championship. Krueger, the defending women’s national champion, claimed the women’s singles title. ESU is out of competition for the winter break and will return to action this spring.
