A Missouri man was hurt in a wreck in northeast Lyon County on Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly before 6 pm at Kansas Turnpike mile marker 151 southbound, 24 miles northeast of the Emporia gate and four miles northeast of the Admire exit. Troopers say 46-year-old Eugene Johnson of Boonville was driving an SUV that hit a deer.
Johnson was taken to Newman Regional Health with possible injuries. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
