Emporia High wrapped up a 2-7 football season in the first year of Daniel Goodman. The squad had numerous All-Centennial League performers.
The Spartans were led on the first team by Jose Vargas. The senior made it on offense and defense as a guard and defensive tackle.
Three defenders and one offensive player made second team. Defensive back Oliver Kline, defensive linemen Ben Collins, and linebacker Brody Telfer each had a standout season for Emporia. On offense, the red and black relied on running back Rylan Crowell.
Terrick Franklin (DL), Jonathon Couch (OL), and Garrett LeBlanc (DB) all placed Honorable Mention.
The Spartans were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Hutchinson.
