Final totals won’t be announced for a few weeks, but Emporia Community Foundation Executive Director Linda Kehres Schmidt says they are looking at a very successful year for Match Day 2025.
Kheres Schmidt’s comments came late Monday afternoon after a “busy day” of giving from a very generous community. Noting that this time of year can be financially difficult for many, Kehres Schmidt says the steady stream of donations on Monday should serve as a reminder to their more than 30 beneficiaries that the hard work they put in throughout the year is not going unnoticed.
Although Match Day is now wrapped up for another year, Kehres Schmidt says she and her staff still have plenty of work to do between now and the annual Day of Giving check presentation at Flint Hills Mall next month.
The check presentation will take place on Tuesday, December 2nd, inside the mall and will once again be broadcast live on KVOE 1400 am and 96.9 fm.
