The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has a new crime fighter on the force.
K-9 Ace has completed basic training in patrol operations and narcotics detection. Ace has been partnered with Deputy Nathan Rankin and started this week.
The K-9 program bringing Ace to Lyon County in part through a grant from the Kansas Attorney General’s Office, as well as a “generous” donation from an anonymous resident and in-kind support from several local businesses, including Bluestem Farm and Ranch Supply, Hills Pet Food, Midwest Concrete and Tractor Supply Company.
