Court proceedings will continue next year in a Morris County attempted murder case.
William Shane Wallace was originally set for a preliminary hearing this past Thursday, but it was delayed to Jan. 15.
Wallace faces six counts after an alleged domestic dispute in the 100 block of West Grant in White City in late October, including single counts of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, aggravated residential burglary, criminal threat, criminal damage and criminal discharge of a firearm. Wallace allegedly fired at least one round into a structure with one person inside.
Following the execution of a search warrant in the 100 block of West Mackenzie, Wallace was also arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Formal charges have not posted to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal on the alleged drug activity.
