Almost a week after he was shot during a fatal shooting incident in northern Osage County, Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Adam Ellis has been released from KU Med.
Ellis and three Osage County deputies were hit by bullets as part of a domestic violence call that quickly turned violent on Nov. 15. All four law enforcement officers survived, and the three Osage County deputies hospitalized after the shooting — Deputy Christian Moran, Corporal Clayton Hartpence and K-9 Deputy James Cason — were either released Nov. 15 or earlier this week.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has not updated its findings on the shooting since the evening of Nov. 15. The suspect, 22-year-old Stephen McMillan, was killed at the scene, while McMillan’s grandfather was hurt and hospitalized. There has been no update on his status since Nov. 15.
