A semi cab is a total loss after a fire near Emporia on Thanksgiving.
The fire developed at a rural residence in the 900 block of Road 220, or about four miles north of Emporia. Battalion Chief Eron Steinlage says there was work underway to address unspecified electrical issues when the engine caught fire. The fire was contained to the engine, but Steinlage says the power unit is a total loss due to the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
