Fire destroyed an unoccupied shop in Severy Saturday evening.
According to Greenwood County Fire Chief Glen Collinge, crews were dispatched to 415 North Greenwood Avenue just after 9:40 pm for a structure fire. Collinge says firefighters found a shop building completely involved in flames upon their arrival.
Crews did manage to get the fire underc control but not before it destroyed the shop and all contents inside. The cause and origination point of the fire is undetermined.
No injuries were reported and no other structures were affected.
