Tuesday is shaping up to be another banner day for Match Day participants.
Check Presentation Day is Tuesday at Flinthills Mall. Emporia Community Foundation CEO Linda Kehres-Schmidt, KVOE’s Newsmaker guest Monday, says it’s been an exciting year and Tuesday should be a great day.
Match Day has generated almost $4 million for different community groups in Lyon and surrounding counties since it began 12 years ago, including last year’s record of over $760,000.
Kehres-Schmidt sees a number of reasons why the event has had ongoing success.
Check presentations go from 10 am to noon at Flinthills Mall outside B&B Theatres. Thirty-five community groups are involved this year. KVOE and KVOE.com will have the event live on-air Tuesday.
