Emporia boys wrestling won the Junction City tournament with a 4-1 record in the duals on Saturday in Junction City.
The Spartans dominated pool play with victories over Wichita West 70-12, Hutchinson 42-40, and Shawnee Heights 53-25. The lone dual defeat was to Topeka-Washburn Rural 45-33. EHS also knocked off Hayes.
Jose Vargas (285) went 5-0 including four of the matches by fall.
Bryan Cubias (132) swept his five contests.
Jackson Goodman competed at 138, 144, and 150 while going 3-0.
Kolton Wyatt (113) and Garret LaBlanc (165) each went 4-1.
Emporia travels to Douglass next Saturday.
