The town of Allen will have you in the Christmas spirit with its annual holiday festival.
Hometown Christmas takes over the community Friday afternoon and evening. Organizer Janet Bathurst says there is a lot on the schedule for people to enjoy.
If the event reminds you a bit of a Hallmark Christmas, Bathurst says that was the original point.
Organizer Lisa Keith says the North Lyon County Library will be one hub of activities.
Keith says it’s an event designed to remind people of the true meaning of Christmas.
Activities go from 4-6:30 pm on Allen’s Main Street. Besides caroling, vendors, hot dogs and kids activities, Hometown Christmas also coincides with holiday open houses at the North Lyon County Library and Highline Telephone business office Friday evening.
