The Kansas-based senior care company Midwest Health has acquired 15 assisted-living facilities across the state, including one in Osage County.
Midwest Health now oversees operations for what had been known as Vintage Park in Osage City. The care facility is now known as Homestead of Osage City. The overall expansion of Midwest Health adds about 600 apartments and over 300 new employees to the company, which serves about 4,000 seniors in over 100 communities across six states: Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri and Illinois.
Midwest Health was founded in 1977. The company says this is its largest acquisition in its history.
