Day two of the Paul Terry Classic saw the Emporia boys move to 2-0 and the girls fall to 0-2.
Basehor-Linwood used full court pressure to knockoff the Emporia girls 51-17 Friday at the Paul Terry Classic.
Despite nine first quarter turnovers, Emporia managed a 5-2 lead at the end of the first. A 13-1 run to start the second gave Basehor-Linwood the advantage and they kept it at the break, 21-8. The Bobcats continued to force takeaways as they grew the lead to 38-12.

The Lady Spartans drop to 2-2. They host Hayden Saturday to end the Paul Terry Classic.
Emporia boys won game two of the Paul Terry Classic 57-46 Friday against Basehor-Linwood in Emporia.
Emporia opened with the first five points of the game, but B-L closed the quarter out to tie it at 14-14. Rylan Crowell took over in the second to give EHS a 28-23 advantage at half. The black and red won the third to extend their lead, 46-35.
Emporia had three in double figures including Terrick Franklin with 12. He likes how the team has so many options to score.
Harry Trelc finished with 14 and Crowell had 13.
Head coach Evan Burns loved what he saw from his defense for a third straight game.
The Spartans improve to 4-0. They look to sweep the classic Saturday hosting Hayden. Coverage begins at 12:45 pm on 104.9 Mix for the girl/boy doubleheader.
