The Emporia Public School Endowment Fund is helping several classroom projects after an announcement Thursday.
*Emporia High School is getting $750 for advanced glassblowing equipment and another $750 for the purchase of Estes model rockets and related equipment
*Emporia Middle School receives $400 to buy a set of Figment Friday books
*Timmerman Elementary gets over $330 for the Fourth Graders Real Life Create Their Own Business program
The fund is in conjunction with the Emporia Community Foundation. Teachers can apply for grants of up to $750. Projects using alternative learning strategies, indicate creative education objectives and motivating students for lifelong learning take priority.
