Two annual holiday fundraisers are now in full swing and wrapping up soon.
As has been the case for years, residents have the opportunity now to donate money to SOS Inc. for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind ring from Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal through the Kari’s Christmas for Kids fundraiser. The ring this year features a one-and-a-half-carat Morganite center stone set in 14k two-tone white gold and rose gold, valued at $4,500.
Kari’s owner, Kari Roulette, says the ring’s design is very intentional.
On KVOE’s Morning Show Friday, Roulette stated the fundraiser has been going “great so far,” saying they have already raised over $1,000.
To enter for your chance to win the diamond ring, visit Kari’s at 1015 Industrial Road and make a suggested donation of $5 for one chance or $20 for five chances. All proceeds will support children and families served by the agency this holiday season.
SOS Director Mickey Edwards says she loves the message that the ring’s design conveys, saying this can be a tough time of year for many, but especially those who are seeking their services.
Edwards says this comes at a time when certain statistics remain high within the community.
The grand prize drawing will take place at Kari’s between 2:30 pm and 3 pm on Tuesday, December 23.
Separately, Troy’s Tranys is once again teaming up with KVOE to give The Gift of Groceries, a now annual fundraiser that allows residents to nominate those who they feel will benefit from a $100 Good’s CashSaver and Emporia Country Mart gift card. Kandy Dall of Troy’s says they are always excited to be able to give such an important gift to the community this holiday season.
To nominate an individual or family, email KVOE@KVOE.com, call 620-342-1818 or stop by Troy’s at 1025 Industrial Road. Winners will be drawn for at 1 pm Friday.
