Emporia’s effort to bring The Wall That Heals to town this past summer has made the organization eligible for a financial grant, thanks to DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers and TV-13.
Organizers of The Wall That Heals secured a $500 grant as part of a Pay it Forward campaign through DeVaughn James and TV-13. Now, organizers of The Wall That Heals are among nearly 30 entities eligible for a $2,500 grant. Organizers say they will use those funds to bolster future veteran events.
Residents can vote on their favorite Pay it Forward entity online. Voters need to submit name, email address and other information to cast their ballot. Voting ends Dec. 28.
