Drake Skirvin led Burlingame to an upset win over 4th-ranked Hartford, 59-56, last Tuesday with 33 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocked shots. The senior followed that performance up with 24 points, 14, rebounds, and five blocks in a loss to Northern Heights on Friday, 48-43.
Bryan Cubias won the Emporia Athlete of the Week. The 132 pounder captured gold at the Winter Classic on Saturday. The freshman won three matches including the title match by tech fall 21-5.
