The Lyon County Motor Vehicle Office has its final vehicle tag deadline of the year next week.
Dec. 30 will be the last day residents with last names beginning with the letters U, X, Y and Z to handle tag renewals without financial penalty. A valid Kansas drivers license or ID are needed along with current proof of insurance.
Courthouse hours for the Motor Vehicle Office are 8 am to 4:30 pm weekdays. Residents can reserve a place in line by using the QLess kisok inside the Courthouse, using the QLess app or texting “Lyon County Motor Vehicle Department” to 620-254-9998.
