Court processes will resume next month in a Coffey County child sex abuse case.
Roy Anthony Hernandez, age 46, is currently facing over 20 total counts against two children, one age 15 and one age 9, between September 2013 to October 2015. Charges range from rape to aggravated indecent liberties to aggravated criminal sodomy.
Hernandez has a preliminary hearing Jan. 30 after a status conference earlier this month.
A January hearing is also set in another Coffey County child sex abuse case, this one against 32-year-old Forrest Lynn Cornine. The next hearing in the Cornine case is Jan. 14.
Cornine is charged with 11 total counts, including seven for rape, three for aggravated criminal sodomy and one for aggravated indecent liberties against two children allegedly between September 2017 and May 2018.
A status conference is coming in February as court proceedings move in the case against 77-year-old Leon Lile.
Now 77, Lile faces five total counts, three involving rape of a child ranging from ages 13-19 at the time of the alleged incidents, one for indecent liberties involving the same child and one for aggravated sexual battery involving an adult.
The status conference is Feb. 26.
