The 2026 Flint Hills Technical College Benefit Auction and Gala will be going back to its roots this coming Spring.
In an interview with KVOE News Monday afternoon, just hours after the college announced the date of the 2026 gala, FHTC Events and Outreach Coordinator Stephanie Anderson told KVOE News that after years of unique themes, this year’s gala will be centered on the original theme of inspiration.
Anderson also announced Monday that the college has already secured its presenting sponsor for the event in April, Fannestil Meats. She adds that this is a big piece of the puzzle for putting on the event; however, their work is far from over, as they have a lengthy list of sponsors to reach out to for additional support in the coming months.
Anderson says, as always, the event will take place at White Auditorium and will include a live and silent auction, which will see an “exciting” lineup of classic and new items and possibly some new interactive activities and games for gala attendees.
For those looking to purchase tickets for the gala, Anderson couldn’t give an exact date for when they will go on sale, but believes they should be available at either the end of February or the start of March. In the past two years, the auction has been a record-setting event, generating over $180,000 in 2024 and $240,000 in 2025.
Anderson is hopeful those record trends could continue in 2026, with all dollars going to support student scholarships and the Wrangler Relief Fund. She says those resources are vitally important for students, as technical education can be a costly venture.
The 2026 gala will take place on Friday, April 24th, inside White Auditorium, with more details and information to be announced at a later time at FHTC.edu. Ahead of the gala, FHTC will once again hold the Wranglers on the Rocks silent online auction, in which a variety of unique spirits and alcohols will be up for bid.
Wranglers on the Rocks will run from March 16th through March 20th. Again, additional details and information can be found online at FHTC.edu.
