Emporia Public Works has a few short-term infrastructure projects that will cause some traffic adjustments as the year comes to a close.
Underground Utility crews will have a service line project in the 100 block of Constitution on Monday, followed by more service line work in the 1300 block of Rural on Tuesday. Both streets will be blocked to thru traffic with water service possibly affected in both areas. Rural Street residents are also asked not to park on the street where “no parking” signs are posted.
Tuesday also has a storm sewer replacement project in the 100 block of Neosho. That street will have one-lane traffic until the work is done.
On Wednesday, water main work is planned on West 24th near Jones Park. The city says that will affect water service near the work site.
