One person has been hospitalized after a wreck in south-central Emporia on Tuesday morning.
The crash happened around 7:40 am near the intersection of Kansas Avenue and Mechanic Street. Emporia Police officers say the wreck involved a pickup truck and an LCAT van. The LCAT driver was eastbound on Kansas and apparently failed to stop, hitting the northbound pickup on the driver’s side.
The truck drive had minor injuries and was taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and treatment. The LCAT driver was not hurt. Names have not been released.
