The state of Kansas held steady in unemployment between September and November, according to the latest report from the Kansas Department of Labor.
The November jobless rates report from KDOL was released earlier this week, much later than normal due to the Federal Government shutdown that occurred between early October and mid-November. KDOL also had no report for October due to the shutdown.
For November, the state jobless rate remained at 3.8 percent, unchanged from September and the same as the rate in November 2024.
The City of Emporia’s jobless rate was at 4.0 percent while Lyon County was at 3.9 percent, down from 4.6 percent in September.
For area counties, Lyon and Chase County were tied for the area high at 3.9 percent, while Morris County had the area low at 2.8 percent.
