Reports of reckless driving led to a DUI arrest in Lyon County on Sunday.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a currently=unspecified location on Interstate 35 for a reckless driver. Deputies later found the semi in question and began a traffic stop based on “driving behavior.”
During the stop, deputies say they developed probable cause to determine the driver was under the influence of alcohol and arrested the driver and transported them to the Lyon County Detention Center, where they were reportedly found to be over three times the legal limit for operating regular motor vehicles, or a blood alcohol content of 0.08, and seven times the legal limit for commercial vehicle drivers of 0.04 grams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood.
The driver has not been identified. Additional details are pending.
