USD 251 North Lyon County has a bit more discussion ahead as it continues work towards potentially new school facilities.
On Wednesday night, board members approved interviews of up to two additional architect firms as the district considers new facilities either in or around Americus or near the district’s population center. The decision followed a special meeting Monday where board members interviewed Ben Moore Studio, Incite Design Studio and Landmark Architects.
The district is considering a new high school and athletic facilities either at or near NLC Elementary/Junior High in Americus, a new high school and athletic facilities near the Americus city limits or a new prekindergarten-through-high school campus and athletic spaces near the center of the student body.
USD 251 Superintendent Bob Blair will have more on the current and past efforts to build new facilities on KVOE’s Talk of Emporia at 11:06 am Friday.
