The Lebo Lady Wolves continued their strong start to the season with a convincing 51–17 win over the Northern Heights Lady Wildcats on Friday night.
Lebo set the tone early, jumping out to a 16–3 lead at the end of the first quarter behind aggressive defense and strong rebounding. The Lady Wolves maintained control throughout the second quarter, heading into halftime with a 23–8 advantage.
Any hopes of a Northern Heights comeback were quickly put away in the third quarter, as Lebo erupted for 20 points while holding the Lady Wildcats to just three. Lebo carried a 43–11 lead into the final period and cruised to the 34-point victory.
Despite shooting just 6-of-26 from beyond the arc, Lebo dominated inside, out-rebounding Northern Heights 37–22 and creating multiple second-chance opportunities. The defensive pressure also limited the Lady Wildcats’ scoring chances throughout the game. Lebo coach Pat Gardner was very happy with the defense.
Maya Wilson led all scorers with 11 points for Lebo, pacing a balanced offensive effort as the Lady Wolves improved to 8–2 on the season. Northern Heights struggled to find offensive rhythm and dropped to 1–10 with the loss.
In the boy’s half of the action, the Lebo Wolves earned a solid 74–60 win over the Northern Heights Wildcats improving to 4–7 on the season, while Northern Heights dropped to 3-8.

The Wolves were efficient offensively, shooting 50 percent from three-point range and going 15-of-19 from the free-throw line. Dennis Becker, Lebo coach, loved the shot making, but the defense played very well.
Gerek Reber led all scorers with a career-high 28 points for Lebo. Brock Hadley and Eli Konrade each chipped in 11 points to provide balanced scoring support.
Northern Heights was led by Cooper Woodrow, who finished with 11 points in the loss.
