Ticket availability is starting to run low as the Olpe Fitness Park Committee’s annual Green Machine Gala gets closer.
Organizers say around 20 tickets are left for the fundraising event on Valentine’s Day, and a sellout is expected. Organizer Jodi Brinkman says the steak dinner draws rave reviews and the auction list is impressive.
A separate raffle also includes a fully-stocked wine fridge from All-Star Rental and pendant from Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal.
Brinkman says this is an important project for Olpe residents.
Fellow organizer Beth Skalsky has also seen strong community support for the better than $2 million project.
Skalsky says the project is into overlapping phases now, with fundraising for phase two coinciding with construction underway for phase one.
Phaser two work will include more work on the fitness trail, as well as a multipurpose building and a splash pad.
Tickets are $100 each and are available by emailing greenmachinegala@gmail.com or finding a Fitness Park Committee member. Besides a silent and live auction, there are also also cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a steak dinner and a dance as part of the overall event.
