Beacon for Hope is set to host their Unmasking Suicide Masquerade Ball later this month.
The evening of food, fun, and awareness has become a staple in the community with the fifth annual event set to take place on Saturday, January 31. Beacon Founder and Director Melissa Owen recently joined KVOE’s Morning Show to promote the evening, saying this year, the ball will include some new activities.
Owen says some staples will also be a part of the evening.
The ball is one of the biggest events put on by Beacon for Hope annually, with Owen saying they like to kick the year off by getting everyone together in a positive way.
The event returns to the Bowyer Building at the Lyon County Fairgrounds from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $30 each or two for $50. Tickets must be bought ahead of time at Hopelinks.org. Individuals are encouraged to dress in formal attire and bring a mask of their own; however, masks will be available in limited supply for those who do not have their own.
