The Area and Emporia Athlete of the Week awards were announced on Monday.
Harry Trelc is the Emporia Athlete of the Week. The junior erupted for 31 points last Tuesday in a lopsided win over Newton. He then chipped in 15 against Washburn Rural in Friday’s 52-46 win.
Harper Seele from Burlingame takes home the Area Athlete of the Week. The Lady Bearcat had a double-double in both games for Burlingame. The junior also set a new school record for rebounds in a game, 19, in their win over Madison on Friday.
