The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information on an escaped convict who never returned from a recent furlough.
According to a news release from Lyon County Sheriff Jeff Cope, 38-year-old Loganville, Georgia native Erik Holloway was granted a furlough on January 6th to attend the funeral of his mother in Georgia. Holloway was directed by Lyon County District Court to return by January 14th, however, he failed to do so.
Charges for escape from custody are currently under review by the Lyon County Attorney’s Office as the Sheriff’s Office continues to search for Holloway who was awaiting trial on charges of domestic battery and possession of opiates, opium, narcotics or certain stimulants.
