The Area and Emporia Athlete of the Week awards were announced on Monday.
Caydrick Crouch is the Emporia Athlete of the Week. The senior bowler took gold Wednesday at West Ridge Lanes in Topeka and silver at the Buhler Classic in Hutchinson on Friday. The future Ottawa Brave had a career high 720 series in Topeka. EHS won both meets.
Emory Speece from Osage City won the Area Athlete of the Week Award. The senior competed at the Flint Hills Shootout last week and scored her 1000 point of her career in Friday’s game.
