Emporia State football players Landon Boss and Tyler Schultze have been named First Team Academic All-Americans by the CSC for 2025. Boss is a consensus First Team All-American already after leading the Hornets with 101 tackles and 10 sacks this past season. He was the only MIAA player to be a First Team Academic All-American and at least a Second Team All-American on the field after earning a 3.72 GPA in business. Schultze has a 3.99 GPA in physics and was a Second Team All-MIAA honoree at defensive back. Schultze led the MIAA in passes defended with 14 breakups and one interception. Schultze is seventh in career breakups entering his senior season in 2026.
