Emporia State University will be busy over the next week with two major events on the schedule.
First, will be the annual Day of Giving, which is officially scheduled for next Wednesday, February 11th; however, early giving will begin on Wednesday and continue up until the day itself, allowing residents an entire week to donate to the university. ESU Foundation Assistant Director of Annual Giving Brandy Clarke, a guest of KVOE’s most recent installment of the ESU Buzz, says Day of Giving is a virtual event, meaning residents can make an impact from the comfort of their own homes.
Clarke says the university chose to “turn day of giving on its head” this year, making it all about choice.
She tells KVOE News there has been a great deal of excitement around this recent change.
In addition to the generous gifts of residents, several matching gifts and giving challenges have been established to help bolster financial impacts for the annual fundraiser that comes as part of Emporia State’s Founder’s Day week activities. Founder’s Day will be celebrated Friday, February 13th, inside the ESU Memorial Union.
ESU Foundation Senior Director of Donor Engagement Jan Trelc will join KVOE’s Newsmaker segment at 7:20 am Wednesday to discuss Founder’s Day activities in greater detail.
