The Olpe Eagles picked up a pair of wins over the Lyndon Tigers on Friday, sweeping both the girls and boys contests.
In the girls game, Olpe secured the 40-28 win. Lyndon held a slim 14–13 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Olpe responded and took a 22–19 advantage into halftime. The Eagles continued to build momentum in the second half, leading 28–23 after three quarters.
Deena Wilson credits the defensive adjustments for the win.
Olpe was led by Lilly Skalsky and Kayla Steinke, who each scored 10 points. The night was especially memorable for Skalsky, who eclipsed the 1,000–point mark for her career during the contest. Lyndon was paced by Allie Kneisler with 11 points.
In the boys game, The Eagles earned the 53–47 victory. Olpe jumped out to a 12–9 lead after the first quarter and carried a 29–25 advantage into the locker room at halftime. Lyndon made a push in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to 29–27, but Olpe answered with a 9–0 run to regain control. The Eagles led 38–30 at the end of three.
Brecken McGuire led all scorers with 30 points for Olpe.

Lyndon placed four players in double figures, led by Cason Rhoads with 13 points. Olpe finished 18 of 35 shooting inside the arc, struggled from long range at 1 of 10 from three, and went 14 of 21 at the free-throw line. Lyndon connected on 11 of 22 attempts from beyond the arc.
