The Flint Hills Technical College Foundation has a busy period ahead between now and the end of the spring semester.
On the list of events is the fourth annual Prairie Fire Award celebration. On KVOE’s Tech Talk with President Caron Daugherty on Tuesday, Vice President for Advancement Mike Crouch announced Mitchell-Markowitz Construction as this year’s honoree.
Crouch says the college looks at several characteristics when it makes a selection for Prairie Fire.
There will be an invitation-only reception at the college Feb. 27.
Meanwhile, the college is getting ready for its Wrangler on the Rocks online auction March 16-20 — featuring spirits from around the world.
Also, the annual Night of Inspiration Gala and Auction is set for April 24. Fanestil Meats is the presenting sponsor. Crouch says inspiration is a good word to describe the event’s meaning for all involved.
Proceeds from both the gala and online auction benefit scholarships.
