USD 251 North Lyon County’s ongoing discussions about new facilities will add another layer Wednesday.
Board members will discuss the process for having a construction manager at-risk as part of the overall work going forward. Construction managers at-risk work with the general contractor and, in this case, the school district to handle budgets, schedules and certain financial matters if needed.
The district has already had two special meetings to interview potential architects for one of three options: a new high school near North Lyon County Elementary/Junior High in Americus, a new high school near the Americus city limits or a full K-12 campus near the district’s population center. At the second meeting, the board selected TESSERE for the architecture work to come.
Other business Wednesday includes the normal financial and legislative report and capital outlay update, as well as a presentation from the board’s negotiations team and an executive session for non-elected personnel matters.
