The Emporia State track and field team was at the Northwest Tune Up on Thursday hosted by Northwest Missouri. Freshman sprinter Stella Agbokpah broke a school record for the third straight meet en route to winning the women’s 200m dash. She is the first Lady Hornet under 24 seconds in the race finishing with a 23.88, the fourth-best time in the country. She also finished runner-up in the 60m dash. Barbara Bentum finished third in the 200m dash. Emmanuel Dukpe finished in second in the men’s 400m dash while Braden Lipgens finished third. E-State heads into the postseason with the MIAA Championships hosted by Pittsburg State beginning February 27.
