Flint Hills Technical College has another significant donation to its Advancing Tomorrow capital campaign.
John North Ford is contributing $20,000 to bolster the campaign, designed to strengthen the workforce and what FHTC calls “the next generation of skilled professionals in the Flint Hills area.” Ultimately, fundraising will lead to construction of the Advancing Industry Education Center that will include advanced manufacturing, industrial engineering, automation and robotics at the college’s main campus near 18th and Graphic Arts.
FHTC Vice President of Advancement Mike Crouch says “partnerships like this one are the foundation of what makes the Advancing Tomorrow campaign, and this college, so special. When local businesses step up, it sends a powerful message that workforce education matters.”
John North Ford owner Ron Carlson says “for the community, Flint Hills Tech is just spot-on and we need it to continue to grow.”
Fundraising continues. Interested people can call the FHTC Foundation at 620-341-1313.
