Emporia’s Eastside Community Group wants to see you at the Emporia Senior Center on Sunday.
Reason being: the second-annual Taste of Soul Food gathering and fundraiser.
On KVOE’s On-Air Chat this week, group spokesman Arthur Lorick said the menu is full.
Wild game is also an option.
Donation tickets will be sold at the door. Lorick explains how the ticketing works.
The meal will be from 11 am to 4 pm — or until the food sells out. Proceeds will be set aside for upcoming projects at Eastside Community Park, including a flagpole, disc golf baskets and a small shelter.
