More charges have been added against a Coffey County man accused of child sex abuse.
At an arraignment hearing in Burlington on Wednesday, Roy Anthony Hernandez had four new counts added.
Hernandez was initially facing 22 counts of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties involving two children. Hernandez was accused of two counts of rape, one of aggravated sodomy and 15 counts of indecent liberties against the 9-year-old, as well as three counts of rape and one of indecent liberties against a 15-year-old, between September 2013 and October 2015.
The new counts rearrange the counts to a degree, with five counts of indecent liberties, eight of sodomy and two of rape against the 9-year-old and a count of rape and 10 of indecent liberties against the 15-year-old. The new complaint also adjusts the alleged time of abuse from October 2014 to April 2016.
Jury trial is tentatively set to begin June 22. A hearing is set for May 7, with a pretrial on the docket June 4.
