One person was hurt after a crash in Emporia on Monday.
Emporia Fire Capt. Greg Davis says the wreck happened in an alley in the 700 block of Lakeview around 7 pm. Early indications are a vehicle crashed into a telephone and cracked it at the base. The driver was taken to Newman Regional Health with unspecified injuries.
Emporia Police Capt. Ray Mattas says the currently-unnamed driver backed into a pole. She was later cited for suspicion of driving under the influence.
