Burlingame fell short of their third straight upset as they lost to Canton-Galva 47-42 in overtime at the Clifton-Clyde Sub-State Final Friday.
The Eagles claimed a 7-5 advantage after one. The Bearcats cut the deficit to one at half, 17-16. B’game took a 29-27 lead into the third. Cash Roberts connected on a three at the buzzer to send the game to the extra session, 40-40.
The clock struck midnight in overtime as Stetson Carpenter’s team only made one shot.
Drake Skirvin had a team high 15 points. Nahzir Austin added 13.
